Fence
I Need a fence. Where to start?
Before installing a fence, you first need to know the boundaries of your property. You can consult the Land Register or surveyors who perform detailed property measurements. Building a fence outside your property line, on a neighbor’s or public land, may result in a fine and an obligation to remove the fence.
Which metal posts should you choose?
Recommended dimensions for metal posts:
-
60×40 mm (wall thickness 2 mm)
-
80×80 mm – for wicket posts (wall thickness 3 mm)
-
100×100 mm – for gate and wicket posts (wall thickness 3 mm)
When pouring a continuous foundation or retaining wall, should metal posts be set in concrete in advance?
If you plan to install a fence on this foundation or continuous wall, we recommend setting the posts in concrete in advance. However, if the posts are not concreted, you can use metal posts with an anchor plate. Keep in mind, though, that anchoring posts is not recommended for gates and wickets.
How to estimate the budget for a fence?
You can get a preliminary budget by using a fence calculator or by sending an inquiry to our managers.
What distances should be maintained between posts?
The recommended distance between posts is 2–2.5 meters.
Which posts should you choose?
There is a wide variety of fence posts on the market – metal, clinker, brick, fence blocks, and more. The choice will depend on your preferences and budget. The most affordable options are usually galvanized and painted metal posts. Depending on your budget, you can combine different types of posts, for example, using clinker posts on the front side and concreting metal posts on the remaining boundaries.
Are foundations necessary for a fence?
Foundations are necessary for a fence in the following cases:
-
The land has slopes and it is necessary to level the site – a continuous concrete foundation (retaining wall) is recommended.
-
There are no paving slabs – it is recommended to install a continuous foundation or a suspended foundation.
-
Fence blocks, bricks, or concrete fences are being installed – these require a solid base.
Which fence should I choose?
First, decide whether you want to provide privacy around your property or keep it more open.
Fences that provide privacy: Aras, Eglė Premium, Lux, Piramidė, and double-sided Svajonė Vertical.
For more open areas, suitable options are: medium-density Aras, Elegante Premium, Polisad, Fortis, and single-sided Svajonė Vertical.
What sheet metal do you use?
For fence production, we use sheet metal from various manufacturers such as Balex, Ruukki, Krupp, Bratex, etc. Most commonly, we use matte polyester or wood-effect sheet metal with a thickness of 0.45-0.5 mm.
Gates
Which yard gates should I choose?
First, determine the width of the driveway you need. The minimum recommended width is 3.5 meters. If the driveway is complex, it is advisable to choose a wider opening of at least 4.0 meters.
Swing (double-leaf) gates are a great choice when the driveway width does not exceed 4.0 meters.
Sliding gates are recommended when the planned driveway width is greater than 4.0 meters.
What is included in the driveway gate set?
The sliding gate set includes an aluminum frame, a "CAIS" latch, a catcher, and rollers.
The swing gate set includes an aluminum frame and Locinox hinges.
What is included in the automation kit?
The sliding gate automation kit includes the BFT Deimos Ultra BT A600 drive, a beacon, photocells (or integrated photocells with the beacon), and two remote controls.
The swing gate automation kit includes two drives BFT Kustos A40 or Phobos A40, a control unit, beacon, photocells, and two remote controls.
Is special preparation needed for gate automation?
Sliding (sliding) gates require both a foundation and an electrical connection for automation. Double-leaf (swing) gates do not require a foundation, but an electrical connection is still necessary.
What is included in the wicket gate set?
The wicket gate set includes an aluminum frame, Locinox hinges, a lock with handle, and a pair of keys.
Can the automation be controlled via a smartphone?
Yes! You can choose control via a phone (GSM module) or the internet (WiFi). Gate automation can be operated both via remote controls and GSM/WiFi modules—they do not interfere with each other.
Important: When installing a GSM module, you must have a SIM card with the PIN removed, call forwarding disabled, and active internet. You also need to prepare the administrator and regular users’ phone numbers in international format: +3706xxxxxxx.
